Our team has grown by two!

31 March 2017 by Christina Barker

We welcome our new team members Christina and Taylor. They have come on board to assist us with our social media, marketing and design so keep an eye on our pages for a flurry of activity in the coming months.

Social media and Marketing Executive

Christina has a background in social media management as well as advanced knowledge of the events industry. She has a keen eye for detail and is a lover of organisation. She will be managing all our social media accounts as well as coming up with a good marketing strategy for the business. Her zodiac animal is a Tiger.

When asked why she wanted to join our company she said "I want to help grow the business to a high standard to gain more brand awareness and sales. I truly believe in the story behind the business and want to get the message out to as many people as possible. The entire team at Snowflake Books are so lovely and genuine and it is a pleasure to be a part of that. I look forward to putting Snowflake Books on the map!"

Designer

Taylor is born in the year of the dog, and is an illustrator and designer. She recently graduated from university in 2016 with a BA(Hons) in Visual Communication. She works wonders with her pencil and is very down to earth.Taylor will be creating all of our designs and assisting Christina in our quest to conquer our social media. She will be using her art and design skills to play a part in making sure our social media channels are up-to-date and visually appealing. She also has a little dog called Daisy who we think is extremely cute! Taylor designed these fantastic characters which reflect both their animal zodiacs and their role here at Snowflake Books.

When asked why she wanted to join our company she said "I wanted to join Snowflake Books because I love the idea of breaking the barriers that seem to stand between two different cultures. Teaching people about cultural differences is really important, especially from a young age, as it means that less people have misconceptions about different places and people. As an illustrator and designer, I was drawn to how the books teach children visually, through art and fascinating stories. The illustrations are bright and lively, reflecting Chinese art styles, but also incorporating Western influences to make them appealing to children from a range of backgrounds.

I didn’t learn much about Chinese culture when I was younger, but have already learnt so much through the books and YouTube videos in just a few weeks! I’m really excited to be lending my artistic hand and design brain to future Snowflake projects, as well as being on this journey into learning about the culture and language!"

We welcome both ladies to the team and can't wait to get started!
